FOUR STAR REVIEW
Ava has crushed on Nate since she was a teenager. He is the only one that ever gave her butterflies. Unfortunately that was all Nate was willing to give her because he was her brother’s best friend and almost like another family member. Ava focuses instead on her school work and grades leaving little time for anything or anyone else. Ava’s roommate feels like she needs to get out more so she convinces Ava to go out to a club where she meets an upcoming boxer. Agreeing to meet him the next day at the gym Ava is aware that Nate owns the gym. When Nate sees Ava he is surprised that she is no longer the young girl he remembered. She has matured into a beautiful woman and Nate must deal with feelings that he has tried to hide over the years. He is not as unaffected by Ava as he pretends and works hard at claiming her for his own. The only drawback is the reaction that Ava’s brother might have. This was a sweet romance about people that started out as friends becoming much more. Their chemistry was engaging and I enjoyed reading how their romance unfolded.
