FOUR STAR REVIEW
This was a story all about trust. How trust is given and how easily trust can be broken. Kensington’s mother was murdered and this affected her ability to let anyone into her world. She really only trusts her dad and her friend, Nicole. Maxton was dealing with the death of his father and blamed his mother for causing all the heartache. It is because of her that Maxton does not trust women. Kensington and Maxton are forced to spend time together because Nicole and Brighton are dating. Kensington thinks Maxton is a player and does not give him the time of day. Maxton does not care for her either but he cannot deny his attraction to her and does everything he can to change her outlook of him. Love blooms and wounds heal but the past is never really buried. Is their new found love strong enough to endure these challenges? I loved this book and these characters were so broken that it seemed so genuine. This was about second chances for both of them.
